This large hearth is suitable for use with most of the seperate inserts/surrounds.
The hearth can be used with small or medium sized solid fuel fires as the heat given out would be insufficient to crack the granite, but is not recommended for use with larger fire grates.

When choosing the hearth, we recommend the width to be between the fireplace base width and shelf width.
